A little less open. A lot more kept.

Welcome to Tabvenir. Your first saved note is only a few choices away.

1

Open your reading list

Click the Tabvenir bookmark icon in Chrome or Edge to open the side panel. Grant website access when asked so the extension can read the pages you choose. It reads article content when you start a save.

2

Choose where your notes live

Choose a folder for direct Markdown saves, or select ZIP file. An existing Obsidian vault works as an ordinary folder; no Obsidian account or plugin is required.

If the browser refuses the entire Downloads or Documents folder, create a Tabvenir subfolder inside it and select that folder instead. Folder access may need to be confirmed again in a later browser session.

3

Save a small batch first

Select a couple of article tabs, choose Prepare to save, and review the confirmation. Keep the saving page open while the batch runs. Afterward, check the Markdown files and the batch report.

4

Make closing your choice

The automatic closing switch is available even before you choose a folder. It remembers your preference for new batches. The confirmation page can override it for one batch.

Only saved tabs that pass safety checks can close. Pinned tabs, unsaved input, quality warnings and pages revisited after capture can stay open. A kept tab is explained in the report.

5

Finish a ZIP save

With download permission, Tabvenir checks that the ZIP download completed. Without it, download the ZIP, verify the file is present, and confirm that it was saved before completing the batch.

Ready when you are.
