For the things you meant to read.

A browser is a wonderful place to discover an idea. It is a fragile place to keep it.

A reading list you can actually keep

Tabvenir turns selected browser pages into Markdown notes with their source links and images. The aim is simple: give useful reading a place in your own folders, then let you clear the tabs when it is safe.

Files before another library

Your notes are ordinary files. Read them in a text editor, place them in an Obsidian vault, or move them with your existing backup system. You choose the destination and how to organize it.

Small, deliberate decisions

The current extension works without an account, a hosted parser or cloud sync. It gives you a selection step, a saving confirmation and a report with reasons when a page cannot be closed. Permissions are explained where you use them.

What exists today

The current version supports Chrome and Edge 144 or newer, folder and ZIP output, local images, interrupted-batch recovery, recent reports and fourteen interface languages with fifteen locale catalogs. AI services, paid subscriptions and direct Obsidian API integration are not included.

Built with reader feedback

Tabvenir is an independent software project. Questions, bug reports and suggestions can be sent to service@tabvenir.com. If a note is incomplete, describe the site and the problem without sending private page content.
