Your reading stays on your device
Article extraction and Markdown conversion run locally. The developer does not receive your tab list, article text or saved notes. Fetching images still contacts their original websites; those hosts see normal network request information.
Permission with a purpose
Website access allows Tabvenir to read selected pages and retrieve their images. Folder access is for a directory you choose. Download-management permission is optional and helps confirm that a ZIP reached your device.
You can revoke permissions in your browser. The extension does not support incognito use in the current version.
Saving comes before closing
Automatic closing is optional. Tabvenir checks saving status, tab identity, page activity and other safety signals before closing. Pinned tabs, unsaved form input, incomplete content and certain page-interaction states can keep a tab open.
These checks reduce risk, but cannot recognize every website behavior. Review important notes and keep backups. Closing that times out is not automatically attempted a second time.
Respecting existing work
Existing edited notes are kept unless you explicitly choose to overwrite them for a batch. Failed or partial items are identified rather than presented as fully saved. Browser-managed recovery data can help resume interrupted tasks.
Report a security concern
Email service@tabvenir.com with the affected version, steps to reproduce and the impact. Avoid passwords, tokens and private page content. A locally generated diagnostic report can be previewed before you share it.
Please report suspected vulnerabilities privately first. A dedicated response time or bug bounty is not promised.
